While I wouldn't hate it, being that he's still young and a lefty, I'd prefer they go after someone else that has a bit of a higher ceiling to play with Risto.
We're stacked on the right and the left looks awful. |

I really don't think we need to get another defensemen in here... I understand that TM is definitely in a "win now" type mode but I am perfectly happy with giving bigger minutes to our young guys like Pysyk and Risto. Risto led all of our defensemen in minutes on the ice last year and lead us in points as well for a DMan. Pysyk, when here over the past few years, has more than held his own in showing he could be a top 4 guy. McCabe is the wild card to me. Can he hold up for a season as he played what maybe 10 games here out of Wisco??
Gorges and Bogo are solid minute eating guys. Risto is easily our best offensive DMan but I don't think he is ready to head our PP.
Bogo - Pysyk
Risto - Gorges
Weber - McCabe/Ruhwedel
I have no problem with that setup.
But if we have to go after one... I'd go after Cody Franson.. 27 years old.. better offensively minded than the others on the market minus maybe Sekera. Big bodied guy who can use it to punish and fill in a void left by the body of Big Z leaving with blocking shots. |

We do though.
Weber and Ruhwedel are nothing more than 6/7 defensemen at best.
Murray is in win now mode meaning playoffs this year and serious contenders in 16/17.
Gionta was just on GR saying when he signed his 3 year deal that Murray said contender within his contract.

Murray has balls of steel to tell him contenders within his contract considering what these team looked like last off-season. I think the beady-eyed little douche may earn his keep. |

I'm not sure if the Bruins GM is on Mushrooms or not but I really think we should try to pry Torey Krug & Patrice Bergeron for futures before he comes down from it. |

He is in way over his head. That had to be the worst few days for any GM, like, ever.
I can tell you hockey fans in Boston are very, very sad. |

If they draft him, I wonder how long it will take to trade another first round talent? |

I really don't understand it. Perhaps its nerves, or excitement, or just utter confusion on his part. But he needs to reel it in.
Only time will tell on the picks, but when you choose 3 first round picks in a row, which has never happened, you need to hit it out of the park.
The guy struck out on a bunt. |

Tanking is not as great of an idea this year going forward as it was last year...
I believe even if you finish 30th, although you still have the best odds of winning the lottery, you can now fall as far down as 5th pick. |

If that's all he wants and Chicago is balking Bowman should be shot.
8 for 32
You do that all day long if you're Chicago. |

What he did was the equivilent to bunting the ball into the air and the catcher looking up and just putting his glove out and catching it. |

Top 3 picks are lottery so 4th is the lowest.
