a first rounder for Jones? Wow, Sharks better not miss the playoffs....
So did we overpay for Lehner, or is that the going rate for a young starter? - Lilroot9
For young RFA's yes. |

He might, but it won't be for Buffalo, I could see him playing in Rochester if he's willing to take a two-way deal |

I've always thought 1:39-1:47 and 1:53-2:04 fit you to a tee. |

Ek On Cody Hodgson...
I am hearing he may be the #1 target for the Maple Leafs, who believe that Babcock and the OHL experienced crew in Toronto could get him back to the kind of can't miss prospect he once was. However, the Montreal Canadiens are also showing tons of interest and have liked Hodgson since he was in Vancouver. I heard they tried to trade for him when the Sabres picked him up.
LOL Toronto |

Save some lol's for Toronto, in the meantime, let's use another one on Boston.

That's ok, because we don't have any other Russians anymore. I'd give him $4 million for a season and see if he can light it up with ROR and Kane. |

Do you want to give up next year's 1st and 3rd for him? I don't. I'm not totally sold on him. - Pierceme69
Saad is a Beast, in a heart-beat, next years 1st is going to be like 10-18 and whatever on the 3rd.
Play the odds, chances of either pick even suiting up in the NHL is like 35% and odds of either becoming as good as Saad, like .01%
We really shouldn't be focused on the forwards, but Murray will pounce if a stud like Saad is given away.
I really want Reggie for 5x5, his style allows him to play at a high level for longer than punishing D-man ,
Bruins make a smart move today with Jones and grabs San Jose 1st Round +
Winnipeg pays "Stifford" over 4 million , luckily its only 2 years! If they think they're getting 26gms 9g 10a 19jpts +6 which would extrapulate to 82gms 30g 35a 65pts +20
I do wish him the best, have no ill will towars him, but coming into a new team and having more talent around you while proving yourself to your new team on the last month of your contract, it just screams, Stafford deciding he was ready to play all out. I would MUCH rather have SAAD at 4Million |

Report: Islanders will let prospect Russo walk
James O'Brien

2011 NHL Entry Draft
The New York Islanders won’t sign prospect Robbie Russo, instead allowing him to become a free agent, according to Newsday’s Arthur Staple.
Russo, 22, was a fourth-round pick (95th overall) in 2011. He just finished up his collegiate career at Notre Dame, where the team viewed the defenseman as a “key catalyst in the Irish attack.”
It seems like Russo is just getting lost in the shuffle, with what was not an especially impressive standing in the Islanders’ defensive prospect ratings at Hockey’s Future. Still, his numbers were solid at Notre Dame (41 points in 40 games last season), so perhaps he’ll draw some interest on the free agent market.
