No worries. He will be locked up for 7 more (total of 8) years by Thursday (maybe a day or two later, cause Murray needs to focus on FA). Either way, this team is young and ready to gun. One more D man, one more top 6 forward and we are in the playoffs.

My list of things to do would be to trade any of the following for a position of need, Foligno, Larsson, Weber, Gorges, Legwand. Sign a FA in Frolik and a left handed D and we are on our way!

Not quite. Hodgson's cap hit is around 800k per year for something like 8 years.

Feel kind of bad for Cody... Was a real nice guy who loved being in Buffalo.. If that cap hit/years wasn't so long (Thanks Darcy) I'd say give him more time but with the new additions to the roster and the term on the deal it didn't make sense. He's one guy I would love to see do real well as long as it's not in the division.
