It's clear Penguins are planning for a cup run in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017. what happens after that.. they'll see. - MaximusAurelius
They do not have the depth. They will be a playoff team and lose in the 1st or 2nd rd. |

Not a bad move for the Habs and they cleared $1.25 mil in cap space. Prust was a goner as soon as he entered rehab. - Champ
Kassian said he's going to play better, especially if they give him first line minutes |

With their D, bottom 6 forwards and Fleury, i'm surprised that they think they are in with a shout |

The actual salary for the next 2 years is $575,000. Rielly Smith is a good acquisition. |

There was no way to get full value. His attitude and work ethic is disgusting. Teams were not lining up for him contrary to what Leafland thought. Also word is Babcock wanted him out now! - Champ
Teams on his list weren't lining up, I'll agree.
The Pens were the ONLY team leafs could freely trade him too, as the other 7 were not in await ion to trade for him.
Possible there was a better offer, but if Phil knew about a Pittsburgh deal, he would say no to any other deal |

Glad to see the leafs f'd up the trade of their biggest asset in 20 years.
I believe the 1st rounder is only guaranteed if the pens make the playoffs.
Horrible.
The leafs traded a 35 goal scorer and two former 1st rounders for a potential late 1st rounder, a B prospect who isn't living up to potential a 5th dman and a 3rd liner.
Leafs should have traded for a real gm |
