Probably Leafs management does not want him there, and prefers him to develop for 1-2 years.

This is the guy that a few weeks before the draft he already was speaking of Strome going to Arizona, and himself being delighted if drafted by the Leafs. A guy that wears blue and white colors to a draft. My bet is, if that Marner (elite talent) wants to make the team, he'll have a very good chance of making the team.

My hopes for the season

1. Kadri grows up and emerges as a leader on the team

2. One of the new pick ups (Harrington?) has a good year

3. Team plays Bancock's system/works hard.

4. Lock-out

So Boston traded the only decent piece from the Seguin trade to get rid of Savard. Wish the Leafs coulda snagged him.

No chance. We all know what this team is going to be next season and Marner (and the majority of our top prospects for that matter) should be nowhere near this tire fire.
