Wish Habs would have got him
- Garnie

As a Leafs fan, I can understand you feel that way.
As a Habs fan, I'm very happy they didn't.
Always knew they wouldn't.

i will ban anyone who rudely states their opinion

this is an awesome deal for the leafs.. getting rid of him was important.. he was the face of this teams failure for the last few years

Kessel will easily score 50goals next season with Crosby/Malkin.

I'm quite sure Bennett would need to be included in return? (If leafs indeed retain salary)

The media and fans rushed and forced a trade, IMO.

Deal hasnt been finalized yet...calm down people
- GardinerExpress

Can you Imagine a deal that meets your expectations? Probably Sutter, Pouliot and a 1st is fair.

agreed. Habs are a great team at keeping the puck out, wouldn't wanna give them a player that can solve their only weakness

Am I allowed to point out that Roger was wrong on his return if he is?

No question there is interest in Kessel. Pitt remains intrigued, but I believe Babcock would prefer to coach him first to see what he has.

Can we all agree he is clueless

Addition by subtraction really...time to move forward and build the proper way, thru the draft. We are on the same road.

So none of these clowns have any idea what the deal is, it's all speculation at this point?

Could be Phaneuf and Kessel for Crosby, Malkin, Sutter, and Kapanen at this point.

- gravyface

Kapanen, Harrington, Pick

probably a 1st i guess

terrible. with salary retained he's basically free

I'd say that is fair. I really Like Pouliot. I'd prefer him over Kapanen
