Agreed completely. i think kessel needed to go too, but they should've been more patient. they pulled the trigger less than 2hrs into free agency. of course there were limited options.

He is. Which again kinda goes against the 5 year rebuild. I thought the whole idea was to trade as many core guys as possible. He's 33 when the team becomes competitive. Having said that, he was wrongly used up to this point, he should be more offensive and not be used as a shut down d man.
