The other part you should like, if it makes you feel better, is that the Pens have sweet (frank) all left in the cupboard and no 1st pick next year. Let the Pens fans crow all they want. You win this trade in well under 5 years. Hands down.

I thought you guys would do a bit better. But 2 solid prospects, a decent draft pick and mediocre but useful NHL player is a good return.

Changing gears a bit. What's the real deal on Franson? He's gonna make 5+. Worth anywhere near that? Would you rather Schultz at3.75 orFranson at UFA prices?

I don't know if strong arming or inability to create a bidding war based on the cap space of the 8 teams.i think it's the urgency to move on and the seriousness of Shanahans desire to do so more than anything.

Is it related to stress. I know women say we don't care about anything, except working, earning, fixing stuff, providing every luxury and making sure our kids don't go without anyway. Nylander is still a better prospect. Marner Nylander Kapanen Brown has got me excited.. now Leafs really need young d and d prospects
