I wanted no part with him

So I had an interesting debate with my brother on the phone last night.

Which team is going to be more exciting/relevant/successful in the up coming years.

The Bills or the Sabres?

I said the Sabres, he said the Bills.

My reasoning was pretty simple the Sabres are stacked with talented young players and while the Bills might make the playoffs this year and the Sabres could miss the Sabres are still built for long term success with Eichel, Reinhart, ROR etc.

I said until the Bills get a QB they will never be considered a contender.

What say you guys?

I say the Bills if only because if we can "somehow" get our quarterback situation under control, then this team could make a serious and legitimate deep run into the playoffs much sooner than the Sabres are ready to seriously compete. I think the Sabres are going to be more exciting in the long run because there's so much "certainty" in our youth, whereas the Bills are more of in a "win-now" mode.

If that's your top pairing then you're going to have some issues. Who's QBing the PP...who's eating the major minutes...who's shutting down the opposing top lines? A 20 year old and undrafted 24 year old?

Oduya Scares me. he is the last D left. There is no plan B after he signs for teams, and Oduya knows this.

We don't need a big splash unless a player like OEL or a young out of this world prospect like Drouin is coming to Buffalo.

Im more of a hockey fan to begin with. Still say the Sabres. Call me crazy but they are closer to a championship than the Bills. NO QB no rings and I don't see how we get a QB unless we do some crazy deal.
