Totally agree. Nadal was beating Federer, as you said on all surfaces, at a time when nobody was beating Federer and few were even taking sets off of him.

If not for hurting his leg, Nadal would have won Wimbledon in back to back years, when Federer was at his absolute peak.

There are matches where Nadal has humbled Federer as well.

The Australian Open final where Nadal beat Federer after having a 5+ hour match against Verdasco remains one of the all time efforts. That and coming back after losing a gut wrenching 4th set to beat Fed in a Wimbledon final.

Sure, that's a possibility. But the guy seemed pretty frank with my friend like they were just shooting the sh*t privately... Could it be ruse? I hope so, but it makes sense that it's not... Look at it this way. There's three UFA LHD available still that would be in our top four.

Oduya - Wants to stay in Chicago and has held out this long, it's likely to happen
Ehrhoff - Murray and Pegula just bought him out last year because he didn't want to be here.
Irwin - We haven't been linked to him nor has any team really...

None of those seem like realistic possibilities... The trade market is dependent on us finding a dance partner and it doesn't sound like Murray is close or is that actively looking... As perplexing as it seems to me, we may be stuck with what we got.
