If that's your top pairing then you're going to have some issues. Who's QBing the PP...who's eating the major minutes...who's shutting down the opposing top lines? A 20 year old and undrafted 24 year old? - sambarugh
Have you watched Krug play?
He is exactly the type of players the Sabres need for their PP. He has a cannon of a shot, a really good skater and his last two seasons has put up 39 and 40 points. He also shows up in the playoffs. Maybe him and Risto together isn't a great idea but Risto and Bogo could be paired together.
Im more of a hockey fan to begin with. Still say the Sabres. Call me crazy but they are closer to a championship than the Bills. NO QB no rings and I don't see how we get a QB unless we do some crazy deal. - hubie
Let's talk hockey. Talk football on some other boards.
But just for hearsay Bills obviously won't be a contender without a real QB. More than 1/2 the team in the NFL don't have a good one. Most are average or below average. Bills might surprise this year because Ryan tends to lean on the run a lot and the Bills just got an excellent RB in McCoy. Ryan didn't have this in NY. Eventually I'd like to see a trade for Rivers or Brees.

Krug on one PP, Eichel on the other... - Stripes77
Krug is just fine. I just don't want him in my top defensive pairing.

A Question was asked I answered it. Jr you wont last long on this board if you think all we do is talk about hockey.

He is pretty solid in his own zone but if you don't want him on the top pair you could make that change, Krug is exactly the type of player the Sabres need on the blue line IMO.

Looking at Bruins roster, won't be surprised if they move Krug. Loss of Hamilton means they need more D than Krug can offer at his AAV.
OMG GMTM make this happen - Stripes77
He is EXACTLY who we need, I would overpay for him!!!!!!

I guess my point is that if we're going to trade away our assets for a defenseman, then it needs to be a top pairing guy. As it stands we don't have a shut down pairing. I think Bogosian can be one half of that, we just need the complimentary other half.

I don't think we have what it takes for what our looking for. I mean unless you want to give up a crazy package with multiple 1sts. Which I don't think we are ready for

Shut down top pairing guys aren't getting moved unless its a major overpayment and I am thinking it would cost Reinhart or Girgensons to start...
Risto Bogo
Oduya Krug
Those 2 pairs right there could eat a lot of minutes.

you need 4 great d men that work as a unit, for all situations, Chicago has proved that

I'm clinging to a fantasy scenario where the Seahawks and Russel Wilson just can't a deal done so they part ways. Whaley then makes up for Nix's biggest blunder by drafting TJ Graham over Russel Wilson, by signing Wilson to a mega-deal. It could happen!!!
