Didn't happen over night. I think in a year or 2 GMTM makes a big splash there. This year feels like a wait and see where we are - hubie
He is still working the phones for help on the blue line...
If he adds a young one there the timeline moves up. Krug absolutely fits that bill. Then develop Pysyk in a 5/6 role to see if he can eventually be a good 3/4 guy.

I'd rather get one of those pieces now and let them grow together as a team moving forward though
maybe they compete for 8th in east, maybe not but other teams are getting better as well, like pens, blue jackets, and panthers
the bruins could end up being the worst team in the east if not for rask
bruins, canes, leafs, devils
they have to be odds on favorite to stink the most in the east right now - homiedclown
Agreed. With all of the changes that has happened already, I would rather make all the changes (the major ones at least) at once and let Bylsma figure a lineup to make it work.

agreed 100% + McCabe can be developed into a 5/6 role (start him in Rochester)

I see nearly every trade proposal thrown out there by fans includes Foligno. Why?
If it's a definite upgrade, such as for somebody like Krug, I understand it, otherwise it makes little sense to me.
Is Foligno great? No. Is he good? Possibly. Is he decent? Yes.
He is not going to get a massive contract on his next deal.
Yes, the team has a glut of forwards this year, but you can likely say goodbye to 2 out of 3 in this group: Legwand, McGinn, Foligno.
With there being no rush to get rid of any of them, why do so just to get rid of one? - kingcong39
There is a log jam of 3rd/4th liners Foligno and Larsson have the most potential and therefore the most value.
As of right now there isn't enough room for these players: Deslauriers, Larrson, Foligno, McGinn, Legwand, McCormick. There is 4 spots left on the bottom 6 assuming Reinhart plays second line RWer or Girgensons does (one will the other will center the 3rd line) with Gionta playing 3rd line RWer.
He is not useless, he can come here with no pressure (still young) and just play. Great hands, some solid offensive skills and can play with some jam. Great 2nd/3rd line fit over Foligno.
