I do think the Sabres have ammo to get a few players via trade.

Assets I think are on their way out: Larsson (Although I want him to stay), Foligno, Ruhwedel.

I don't think any go if it is not a deal we want, but I think if there is something, they get moved. I would even trade Ennis for another young top 6 forward, just don't know there are any available. Ideally for a Drouin type player.

Yea I guess. That is my concern with trading him too, he is a great player right now, so that's why if we go for a younger player, it would have to be a stud like that, otherwise we don't want to do it. Doubt TB would even want an Ennis (Salary) anyway.

So after the moves made in the last week, are we still a contender to be one of the worst 5 teams in the league this coming year that some on this board had vehemently argued a couple months ago?

I'm of the opinion that we're better, probably not playoff berth better, but at least above a bottom 5 finish.

I'm so used to the ridiculously high turnover in Buffalo sports that it wouldn't phase me. However I am looking forward to an era were I can watch the same guys and get used to them.

He will be 26 in Oct. Seems to be friends with ROR. I say keep him for a while .

No not probably, he was taken 3rd overall, The lightening definitely expect more than 40 point seasons from Drouin. Hell, with a limited role last year in his rookie campaign he was able to get 32 points.

I think I am more plugging Ennis and how underrated he is, then discussing Drouin.

Probably to an extreme event though, with that said,

Ennis gets to play with ROR, Eichel, Girgensons, Reinhart as his centers this year.

To say Ennis puts up 50-60+ points, is not out of the question, IMO.
