NSH needs a 3rd line center to get to cap floor, and he can go play for Lavy
Just praying to unload him. Hexy's worked his magic getting ARZ To take a retired guy and one of the worst dmen in the NHL for Sam Gagner... and a 3rd for Rinaldo, so hoping he can pull strings once more and unload Vinny. - FLYERSROCK!
Yeah he's done well. At first look I didn't like the Hartnell trade last year, but after seeing he still has 5 more years it makes sense |

7.5 mil a year, fine by me. Finally we have a #1 center and someone that will be a great leader for Eichel. I guess his point production wasnt huge last year (though he was centering Iginla and Tanguay much of the year) but his defensive awareness is great. And two years ago he put up 28 goals and 36 assists. With O'Reilly coming into his prime no reason to think he wont be a stud with a line of Kane-ROR-Ennis. Also he is 53% on the faceoff, something the Sabres need a lot of help with as well. Did I mention he also had the best turnover +/- in the league last year at a plus 72, 17 points ahead of 2nd place Mark Stone? |

O'Reilly led NHL in takeaways last 2 years. In comparable amount of games, out scored Bergeron, Ladd, Backes. He's 24. He's worth $7.5 per. - bluengold12
People are gonna b!tch about it, but all in all we knew it would be that amount and in 3 years that will be a steal. He is worth it and I am happy to have him and even happier to have him locked up long term! |

When are people going to figure it out that young players like ROR and Saad will get 7 mill a year, it's the going rate. - SABRES 89
Didnt Saad get a million bucks less? |

You hope. More likely $7.5M will be a fair deal IF he keeps improving his game at the same pace he has been. If he staggers off at all the deal is terrible.
Also sets up an interesting spot for Eichel in 3 years. If he gets to his potential then he likely wants a bridge deal in the $7-8M range or skip that and sign in the $8-10M range.
I think O'Reilly will work out for Buffalo but man do you guys really need him to. You CANNOT end up trading what you did for a 2nd line center making $3-4M too much.
Good luck to ya hope he works out. |

Yes he did. But imo he is not a good as ROR and benefited greatly from a stacked Hawks team. I do not think he is gonna be all that great away from them. |

well you guys, you got one heck of a player signed long term.
Still a pain in the ass to deal with w/ this buyout proof contract tactics, but who cares hes under contract and now enjoy the guy.
Its put up or shut up time for ROR, but he will do great, no worries there. It was time for him to move on from the Avs, and the fans are excited with the new depth from that trade.

Say what you want but 7.5M for 55P and 6M for 52P... jesus.
Brayden Schenn had 5 and 8P less not playing with players named Landeskog, MacKinnon, Duchene, Toews, Kane, Hossa, Keith
bridge contracts dont exist anymore it seems. Granlund signed one i guess, MIN is smart. - FLYERSROCK!
Toffoli got a bridge 2 years/6.5MM |

Im jacked for Zads, he is going to be so beasty with Barrie as a partner.
Girgo is just the ultimate wild card...could be AHL to start, 3C or LW w/ Dutch...honestly have no idea whats going to happen with that guy
But if Roy tells him something that's best for his development, you know hes going to be on board with that....homies for life |
