At first I thought I was really hammered seeing the same post over and over again...this is fantastic!!!

Homie we need to meet up halfway between Orlando and Tampa for some golf and lots of beers. This made my 4th!!

Does anybody know how Connor Hurley's development is going? Did Murray offer him a contract? Do we have to make a decision to sign him or let him re-enter the draft? I never hear anything about the kid.

Wasn't really a big fan of the pick then
But that was mostly BC we should've drafted Santini (defenseman, gonna be pretty good IMO)

Still has plenty of time to develop though
He's in college, so we don't have to sign him until he decides to leave school
He'll play there at least 2 more years

I'd include him in any trade for a decent young defenseman & not blink twice
One I the few picks from Darcy's last draft that I didn't like
He did a GREAT job

Would've made losing Zadorov A LOT easier for me
I still think we pick top10 this year, likely top5
If we don't get lucky & win the Lotto for Mathews,
My hope is that we can get a very good defenseman with that pick
Sean Day seems like a possibility, or maybe Chychrun
We'll have to see how next year plays out
There's prob about 10 defensemen that are graded in the 1st round at this point
And maybe 4 or 5 other guys who have the chance to jump up into the top10 with a good season

I also wouldn't be surprised to see some of our forward prospects...
Hurley, Karabacek, Cornel, etc...
Traded for defensive prospects like Santini

I wouldn't say I'm "worried"
But we do have a hole or 2 to fill

Ps... I've really been a big McCabe guy all along & thought it would be him (not Zadorov) who'd end up on our top pair with Ristolainen (eventually)

I just heard that Olli Jokinen's visa issue can not be addressed by the Sabres, so the contract must be terminated and he won't be a Sabre.

You leave the impression that this was Murray's "innovative thinking". This was all Pat Morris who negotiated the same kind of deal for Clarkson.

ROR contract is a travesty. He's a 5 million dollar hockey player making 2.5 million dollars more then he's worth. You can blame it on the offer sheet that the Calgary Flames tendered to him a few years back. When the Avs matched, he was not forced to take a bridge contract and started to receive the money that an older UFA would receive. Subsequent contracts included a higher level then the previous contract. He felt entitled to a raise each contract. He is overpaid and Buffalo will rue the day that they signed this abomination of a contract. It's David Clarkson all over again.
