Where do you start with something like this?
I don't even know why I bother, but for sure, 100% inarguable FACT: you can definitely get lucky over 82 games. It's not even close to being as big a sample size as you think. Double it and teams could still get lucky. - James_Tanner
FACT: The odds of being that lucky over 82 games to win the Central Division was infinitesimally small. But given that you characterize it as an everyday sort of event, let's point to your prognostication of the Oilers making the PO's as evidence of your great hockey knowledge and assessment.
I can hardly believe I am reading such utter schlock. |

No, at the time everyone was wondering why the hell a bad team would trade their 1st for a backup. - djamon
Let me guess, you wouldn't want Varly? I understand as a Leafs fan you might not have been very knowledgeable about the Avs situation but they didn't have a real bona-fide #1 goalie. Budjai, good guy that he is, wasn't up to the task. Varly had started and he also had PO experience. |

What is an acceptable sample size if not 82 games? 82 games is literally the maximum sample size that can exist. Are you trying to say the Avs didn't deserve a division title? Does that mean that every championship team was just lucky to win, since we haven't had any repeat championships in over a decade? I suppose, on the flip side, that Arizona was just really really unlucky that they were one of the most pitiful teams ever and that it was only the small sample size that caused them to miss the playoffs, when they are clearly the most dominant, championship caliber team in the league this season. |

Without his 2PM Toronto Hot Dog stand Kessel will only score 20 goals this season.

They didn't even wait for Richards to be charged to terminate him. Voynov was charged, has plead guilty and been sentenced and still the Kings wait on the NHL to act. It's 100% because of the contracts and relative abilities of the players that has caused this contradiction. There's no need to wait on the NHL here, I would think when you admit to beating the poop out of your wife you've breached the conduct code in your contract.
If this were my team I would be embarrassed (and my embarrassment threshold is obviously very high), TBH. With this treatment of Richards good luck getting players to sign long term deals. - djamon
I'm extremely embarrassed as a fan. But I don't blame the Organization for what the idiot did. I wish the Kings would get him off the books for good. I've said this numerous times. I'm also not worried about other players not wanting to play for LA. Richards was gone regardless. |

I don't know what the "cynics" have been paying attention to, but take a glimpse down at 813 (Tampa) and you have a damn good example of a team that has been drafting skill over size. |

Just giving you crap James Tanner.
I agree with the Richards termination but also agree Voynov should be gone for good. |
