It is a shame because he was a pretty good player that had it cut short do to it.

I loved Deader, he was my favorite non Hall of Famer on the Avs first cup team. Its easy to say Sakic, Roy, Forsberg, Blake are your favorites back in the day.

Deader from the first cup team, Drury from the 2nd cup, those were my boys

Incorrect. Reinhart played on the Kootenay Ice. Lambert coached the Kelowna Rockets. The Rockets lost in the Memorial Cup final to Oshawa.

You're right, my mistake. I guess I got my "K's" mixed up there.

It's why I said type.

He has the ability to play the game like Pronger. We'll call it Pronger lite. The issue is will he ever get out of his own way to get there?

- dadeadhead

I don't know TBH.

He was awful some nights like most 19 year old D men, then other nights he looked like a franchise player.

If you put a gun to my head and asked who would have a better career, him or Risto I'll say Risto 100% of the time. But Zads has way more of a Wow factor to his game

I refuse to look at it! This July 4th seemed to have more stories of carnage than others in the past. Can't believe a guy just ruined his career and his potential to make future millions because of (frank)ing firecrackers.

Adam Foote is our "Defensive Consultant" so if anyone can relate to Zads and his mean streak, its going to be Foote.
- DDM-Coga

He first has to teach him what a defenseman actually does in his own zone because he sure didn't know in his limited time here.

I know you're a few years younger than me but the same was said about Pronger and one of the factors as to why he was traded straight up for Brendan Shanahan. One of the other factors was an underage drinking issue. I do remember watching Pronger and Zads looks similar out there.

I doubt he becomes Pronger but it will be interesting to see how he turns out. If I were to bet, he becomes that guy every team wants during a cup run. It is the reason I really didn't want to see him go but if it was between Risto or Zads I keep Risto 100/100.

Not as dumb as the dude who blew off a major firework from the top of his head.

IMO Zadorov will always leave you wanting more.

I don't see him mentally being a Pronger type, physically yes

- sbroads24

I agree with this sentiment. I think he is at his ceiling or just below it right now. He might fine tune his game, but he will look like a beast some nights and absolutely horrid others. Not the most consistent player. But he is a better skater than Pronger, I give him that. Pronger looked like a roller hockey player on ice skates, IMO, I've never seen more cement in a person's feet than Pronger. At least he had good balance and a huge frame, because he was a horrible skater imo.

Pronger wasn't super consistent early on, either. Z was the one piece that hurt a bit in that trade, IMO.

Buffalo fans know what they were looking for. Two-thirds of the crowd left when Eichel's session ended. #Sabres

Really?? Damn Reinhart has to feel pretty forgotten at this point... For a guy just drafted 2nd overall a year ago it sure feels like fans and media alike have left him in the dust. Not saying people on here because we're more in touch with the team then average fans but... The guy has barely had a chance to carve out his game before being relegated as just another prospect..
