I must say the lack of correct capitalization that has grown to become the norm is disturbing. As is the lack of periods to close off sentences. What has society come to.

i've been doing it for years. the lowercase, that is. kind of my ™. i would make the ™ a lowercase ™, but the option-2 only does it the correct way. which is (frank)ing bullpoop.

Only way I'd do that is if we can't sign mdz. If we can't sign him, get as much as we possibly can for him. What would the compensation be if he signed an offer sheet??

That would depend on the amount of an offer sheet. It doesn't matter now, as he is no longer eligible to sign an offer sheet, now that he has elected arbitration.

Agreed. Slight upgrade with the puck and a huge downgrade without it. MDZ is no defensive shutdown player, but Schultz borders on inept defensively.

Hope the MDZ situation is resolved in short order. Hoping for a reasonable deal for both sides. If he's not back next year, Flyers are going to be hurting for offense on the backend. Other than Streit, they got nothing offensively.

Since free agency is dragging on, anyone think a guy like Eric Fehr could be had on a cheaper (~$1.5M) deal that was expected? I think it could be like a Vokoun situation, where he priced himself out of a deal and had to settle for less than expected int he end. He's the only remaining forward UFA that I'd have interest in.

Small sample size obviously, but he didn't look remotely ready for the NHL last year. Losing a year of development really hurts. I'm hoping the end product is he's a facsimile of Torey Krug. That is best case scenario with Ghost.
