I don't like rubbery chewy candies like Twizzlers/Swedish Fish. Kit Kats and Reese's Cups/Pieces are where it's at.
Yo, (frank) Scott Stevens. Because. |

Best candy on the block. I could eat a 10 lbs bag of Swedish fish, and still be unsatisfied.

just look at the texture, the flavor, the shape, the color. It just screams "I'm superior to every other (frank)ing candy on the market" |

Well, okay: this does make a convincing argument.
Still, give me a Take 5 over them. |

You guys could always play a Ramones set list. They took blues and R&B and stripped it down to its bare bones.
This has nothing to do with that song, but The Ramones are amazing. |

Bill is posting a bunch of interesting updates on twitter in case anyone here does not already follow him. Ghost is up 15 pounds from his old listed weight.
@billmeltzer
Gostisbehere said he weighs about 185 now. Sanheim said he is now in high 190s (but still looks quite lanky). |

Out of curiosity, as young guy who has only been closely following the Flyers and the league for about 5 years, what was the hype/development process like for Giroux? As a late first round pick I'm sure he was projected to be a solid NHL contributor, but at what point did the possibility of him becoming a top ten player in the league become realistic? Did he dominate the Q following his draft year? Win gold with Canada at the World Juniors? I'd be interested to hear what you guys thought of him as before he made it to the nhl. |

The ramones are a great band in the sense that they played really basic music but made it sound different and original. The founding fathers of punk rock

He won gold with Canada at the world juniors in 2008 with Luke Schenn, Steve Mason, and Wayne Simmonds. |

He had another monster jr year after he was drafted, but what really got my notice was the 51 points he put up in 19 games in the QMJHL playoffs. Unreal numbers against the stiffest competition.

I'll confess I didn't know much of anything about Giroux when they drafted him.
I remember there was pre-draft hype about the Flyers taking a player who grew up in New Jersey named Bobby Sanguinetti. When the Rangers took him the pick before the Flyers, I didn't have a clue who they were going to take.
After he was drafted, I looked up Giroux's junior numbers at the time, and he was a pretty prolific scorer in his draft year and scored at a similar clip the following year (finished top 5 in the QMJHL, I believe), so I think he was expected to score a little bit when he turned pro. |
