I'd be very happy with that, but I think he gets the full 8 years at somewhere between 62-65 million. - BiggE
The way he plays this year will determine a lot I think. Does he have another 80 pt season? Or does he have a 60 point season (not that a 60 pt season is bad). If we see him reach 80 or if he's in the top 10 of scoring, then I think he gets well over 8 mil per.

Possibly, but I think his extension is done by the start of the season. If not, and he goes out and puts up 25+ goals and 80+ points, he will be looking at 8 years and 68 million minimum.

You do think they'll have it done by the seasons start? I hope so, we just need him signed.

Possibility the deal is done before the season even starts.
Tarasenko got more than that as an RFA after scoring 135 points in 179 games (0.75 P/G).
Over the same three year period Voracek scored 189 points in 212 games (0.89 P/G). - Feanor
I think his deal gets done by October and I'm guessing 8 years, 63 million.
16-17 11 million (9 in bonus)
17-18 9 million (7 in bonus)
18-19 8 million (5 in bonus)
19-20 same as 18-19
20-21 same as 18-19
21-22 7 million (5 in bonus)
22-23 6 million
23-24 same as 22-23

I decided after the last lockout that if there was another one, I am done with the NHL. I almost walked away from the sport after the last one but decided to stick around. Even then, I wasn't rearranging my life around Flyers games any more.
But these owners continue to poop on us every 5 or 7 years.
The Tarasenko contract is the beginning of the end.
