I think Foligno is a much better player than McCormick, so again, I feel your logic is flawed. Not to mention that Folingo's next contract isn't exactly going to bust the bank. They can send McCormick through waivers to Rochester and he'll clear no problem. I highly doubt the same could be said of Foligno. - HonkFortheGoose
My logic is flawed because you don't agree with me, that's fine.
Someone on another board claimed Elliotte Friedman stated in a radio interview today that both Boston and Buffalo are the 2 teams after Cody Franson right now. - GilPerreault11
Cody would be nice BUT he's a RHD and wants 5+ per year, I believe. I'd be a lot more excited if he was a LHD. But he's still only 27 has size (6'5" ) and maybe Ristso of another RHD can be moved to the left side. I played d and actually like playing the right side even though I shot left.
Because foligno is signed for next year only, why worry about him when you have to many forwards and a guy in McCormik who is almost the same player. We can use that money to sign another player. - SABRES 89
We'll have to agree to disagree but I don't think Foligno and McCormick are in the same county in terms of being the same player.
Between Bailey and Baptiste I would prefer to keep Baptiste. - mhp
I think Baptiste will def be at least an NHL 3rd liner
We don't have too many guys like Bailey though
He's a BIG presence around the net
The only other prospect I'd say is that style player is Fasching
I'd offer MULTIPLE prospects if they'd take some combo or Carrier, Karabacek, Cornel & Hurley... All 2nd round picks, so decent prospects
We have a bunch of 3rd round picks to throw in this year also, and I believe a couple of 2nds (but I'd really like to keep those)
Hell...
I'd give up all four of those guys for the right defenseman
I'm guessing the roster player would be Larsson or Foligno...
But I wouldn't mind if it was Moulson instead. Keep half his salary even.
I'm prob living in a dream world though.
If it's a good, "top pair" guy...
It might be more like Larsson, Foligno, Baptiste, 2nd
But this is Tim I get what I god damn want Murray we are talking about - sbroads24
I would prefer paying for Oduya in free agency and keeping our solid prospects (Bailey, Baptiste) vs trading them at this stage. Now if St Louis wants any part of McCormick, Foligno or Legwang - let em' have em.
I was going to write a long peice on how Foligno sucks and we don't expect too much of him but that about sums it up.
Foligno sucks and I don't expect too much of him. He just doesn't have it, IN MY OPINION. 4th round pick or not.
And since when does being a 4th round pick prevent you from being great? Plenty of great late round picks still playing. Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Miller, christ, Tyler Johnson went un-drafted and tore it up this year.
And how many early round picks really make an impact, let alone an NHL roster? A lot of busts and underachievers there.
I expect 70+ games, 15 goals, 40 points tops out of Foligno. I expect him to be smart and aggressive. He isn't. He is a stoopid hockey player, doesn't know how to be in position and is too injury prone.
I say you trade him all day long if you get anything of value back.
And wear a stupid oversized winter hat. God that dude was annoying. - LamontSanford
He was a fantastic goalie for us for many years. Show some respect to a player who enjoyed being here and brought us some of the best hockey in this teams history.

You don't expect too much from him? If he does suck, why expect him to put up numbers indicating he doesn't suck? I don't understand
Being a 4th rounder doesn't prevent you from being great but then mention how lot's of 1st rounders go by the wayside?

Jason Pierre-Paul's right index finger amputation was reportedly done to "minimize the damage" to his hand following a fourth of July fireworks accident.
Keeping the severely-damaged digit would have threatened the speed of Pierre-Paul's recovery. A source speaking to NJ.com told beat writer Jordan Raanan that Pierre-Paul is expected to play "this year," and could "even be on the field by the start of the season." (This is likely agentspeak.) Fractures in Pierre-Paul's hand are expected to take longer to heal than the amputated finger. JPP is going to need to re-learn quickly how to use his surgically-repaired hands to beat offensive linemen and make tackles.
These morons can't find anything else to do with there time, 4th of July or not, you make millions of dollars be SMART. - SABRES 89
