It's hard to see StL trading a defenseman...
Unless they are trying to get rid of J-Bo's salary
But even then, they'd want a defenseman in return BC they're pretty thin back there after Pieterangelo & Shattenkirk
And they are pretty deep at forward as well, plus thy have Rattie & Barbashev about to come up
Just doesn't seem like we'd be good trading partners

we are saved for 15 games out of the season because of that.. it is a whatever type of signing. If he stays healthy he could be a niec addition - IndianaSabresFan
the question is which prospect? we are starting to deplete the farm.. can't keep getting rid of them like this. - IndianaSabresFan
TM was a scout for 14 years. Now I'm not saying he is making the perfect move every time but I can guarantee his decisions to trade away prospects were made with the utmost due diligence. Using the phrase, "getting rid of them" is unfair. Again as a hockey fan I hope all of those prospects achieve success in the league but we got some darn good players in return. Where has a top pipeline of prospects got us in the last 15 years? People are just way too infatuated with prospects rather than winning hockey games IMO.

It's a bit concerning knowing the injury history of Coliacovo, Gorges and Bogosian. They could all miss time this year so getting another D man is essential. I would also think guys like McCabe, Donovan and Ruhwedel will get playing time this year.
