We need to get them all in the same room at once, loaded with explosives. - Phenom
If I was in a room with those 4, and had a gun with only 3 bullets, I'd shoot Simmons. Three times. |

It is a bit long for sure. Wendel Clark! Dougie!!! This cities heroes.
I loved Phils talent, love the excitement he offered, but didn't like him as a complete player either...just my opinion. But in saying that, if management had truly looked at and realized what they had and were getting with Phil and supported his talent and personality, we'd still have him on this team, and would be pretty happy he was there.
Just score goals Phil and fill the seats - that's all we want from you. - Woderwick
Not sure if this quoted properly but only one way to find out.
Personally I enjoyed the parts of the article where Quinn is heated and calling out guys like Simmons and Don - breath of fresh air compared to the usual. |

2 more McDavid training sessions and that's changed as well - MaximusAurelius
No doubt...but that will be the Brand McDavid not the Oilers. |

Great article - especially the bit at the end about the media wanting to create hype, then turn it into anger.
But I think the one thing he misses is that Leafs fans aren't led by the press. There's a weird anti-star thread that runs through Leafs Nation. For some odd reason, we need to hate our best players, while worshiping the lesser lights.
Kessel and Phaneuf need to be run out of town, but Komarov is a god.
More Domi shirts than Sundin shirts in the building.
Boo Bryan McCabe - he shot the puck in his own net!
The Muskoka Five - who had the audacity to ask for no-trade clauses in their contracts, because they loved the Leafs that much.
Larry Murphy.
We hated them all, because they were the most talented players on teams that didn't have enough talent.
It's weird that the team with the highest ticket prices in the league has this faux working class hero attitude, that the guys making the big bucks are lazy individuals - not like you and me.
I'm glad Phil has left Toronto. He didn't deserve the crap that Leafs Nation piled on him. |

Oh well - robin_steele264
If the Oiler and Leaf rebuilding actually works, Oilers imo are a lock now with McDavid Leafs have a long way to go still, that list will change. They've been both irrelevant for too long now, winning woukd change that. |

IMO mirtle belongs somewhere in that group - Garth_Mctavish
No, Mirtle is a Debbie Downer, but he's smart and thinks about what he writes.
He's far from my favourite, but he's (sadly) better than most.
Sean Fitz-Gerald is the best for me, though I am a little biased there... |

Stephen Brunt is the best.
Damien Cox isn't nearly as bad as people here make him out to be (I'll probably be banned for saying this). |

What's funny with the Pens, is in the last few years, even with Crosby and Malkin out there, their PP wasn't very good. |
