Stats and facts

http://www.bleedinggreenn...hall-of-fame-quarterbacks

My opinion is that the stats say he is borderline.

this article lost me when the author says "he rarely impacted his team with interceptions" ok if you say so

Chris Osgood is basically Patrick Roy. Won 3 Cups to Roy's 4. Both are top-10 all time in wins, playoff wins, have led the league and playoffs in season GAA, both played in multiple ASG...they're pretty much the same.

its funny you compare those two cause osgood had those numbers but you had to watch the games to know osgood is not the goalie roy was. samething with mcnabb and comparing him to hof'ers

He's probably the best QB in franchise history (stats being part of the equation), definitely the best since Jaws (sorry Randall). That said, Westbrook and the JJ-led defense were probably bigger keys to the team that McNabb was. I think he's a very good QB. That's about the end of it, for me.

Not to get too in to it... but he is one of the most successful QB's of this millennium.. and he did it while playing most of his career with guys like James Thrash, Todd Pinkston, Freddy Mitchell...

Wasnt till the later years that he got ANY help in the wide out dept. That should be taken into consideration as well.

Randall was the most talented QB in franchise history, MCNabb is most accomplished. McNabb was a good/very good QB that had great work ethic( for most if his career) and for as much I dont like Reid, he was very instrumental to McNabbs development. THis was Cunningham's greatest fault. RC did not prepare the way he needed and Ryan didnt have a clue when it cam to offense.
While McNabb didnt have above avg receivers, they were serviceable, he had an outstanding Oline, and great backs and very good TEs. RCs Oline was horrendous and Byars wasnt a great runner.
I really wish RC had Reid as his coach, with that gang green defense, that would have been a SB dynasty

Here is the bottom line, McNabb was a very good QB in his prime with the Eagles. No doubt about that. Is that what the Hall of Fame is for? Very good players? Or is it for the special players and the best of the best? I know where I stand, McNabb doesn't qualify.
