Ennis had 46 pts on a historically awful team. What part of that is considered a poor year?
And on that note, unless they finish 30th in both years they pretty much have nowhere to go but up.. - Sabresfan-365
1) It was a historically awful team because Ennis is not part of the solution
2) 46 points is not good. Especially for a guy who was playing on the top line for a good chunk of the year. Even for 2nd liner that isn't great. Brayden Schenn beat him by one point and he had 3rd line minutes... They won't finish 30th as they did get better but not enough to be considered a good team. They will likely get a top 5 pick but they won't be 30th.
I wasnt putting toooooo much though into what wing guys play because its interchangable for a fair chunk of players.......Kane ROR Ennis looks great, I was trying to give Eichel a better skater in Ennis than Moulson to play with, that was my thinking there.
I think one of Reinhart or Girgensons will be on the wing, but not both.
I'll counter with
Kane ROR Moulson
Girgs Eichel Ennis
McGinn Reinhart Gionta
Foligno Larsson/Legwand DLO - Homer
I expect the lines to get shuffled around quite a bit
I believe I head an interview with Bylsma where he said he had scratched out like 18 different versions

Ummm....Ennis had a very good year and is a very good player.
Top line? At the end of the year Johan Larsson was our #1 center....on this team he's arguably not even in the top 12 forwards. In other words we didnt have a first line.

We will prob pick somewhere between 4-10
But Ennis is a good player
Idk where u see he's not
His points will continue to trend upward, and prob take a nice leap now that he'll be playing with a talented center

if anything lets not trade our 2016 first. If we have Edmonton Oiler luck we could get #2 in the lottery for the third year in a row!!! & In hometown Buffalo!

Nothing you said here is accurate, do some basic research and watch a few sabres games from last year before you make this assumption.
Wasn't this just mentioned that he looked horrible?? - Sabresfan88
I spent Tue and Wed there, Cantinecci (sp?) looked like a vet AHL forward, when he skates it looks like he becomes a Bowling Bowl and even big guys have a hard time with him.
Samson, who I'm a HUGE fan of, looked average, its hard for him to look special in simple drills, but Jack Eichel stands out in all facets!
I am with you, Homer!!!
I believe we will be the MOST improved team in entire NHL this upcoming season. - Sabresfan88
I dont think any other team has as much ground to improve as we do. sub-60 point seasons the previous 2... adding Kane, ROR, Eichel, Reinhart... thats an easy prediction to make.
Not with the D as it is now, Lehner will get killed. - mhp
Underestimating how much support the forwards, specifically ROR, Kane, Girgensons, Larsson, will bring for the defense. I understand setting the expectations low. But people are underestimating our group.
We dont necessarily have to find another elite player for the top 4. We just need to find partner that will compliment Risto and Bogo (I really hope Bylsma doesnt move Risto to the left side).
We need to find Bogo's Stralman, or Risto's Martinez. Those arent elite high end top 4 players. More like average.

2 years from now, IMO the centers are eichel, reinhart and girgens
based on formula's that means 2, maybe 3 wingers get paid
your top 4 d gets paid
your goalie
is ennis above kane and ror?
I think he is a distant 3rd, thus an asset to get a top 4 d man - homiedclown
He was crucial in bringing ROR here. They were buds at World Championships, and Ennis talked up the Sabres big time. They're not going to trade him away right away before ROR is fully transitioned in.
