6 years ago we were trying to play wingers at center, which never works. I like this problem much better

Glad Ellis is on a strict AHL contract. Great captain and leader there and is great for complimentary scoring and more so his leadership intangibles. And since Murray isn't trying to lose this year, we might actually have real players instead of plugs!

Fehr is actually a very good, underrated third line center.

He also did this with a 43% offensive zone starts while playing against the opposition's best lines. Now I'm not saying the Sabres should add him as it would add to an already crowded center position, but he is a very good player for that role.
