Is he still upset that ROR got 7.5m? give it a rest, enjoy your Clarkson.
Clarkson's salary by year:
14-15: 4.75 mil
15-16: 5.5
16-17: 7.0
17-18: 7.0
18-19: 4.75
19-20: 3.25 - doppelthat
1. Clarkson stinks
2. The Leafs engineered that contract.
3. We got rid of Horton who's career is over. |

I would think Reinhart starts in minors and you bring him up when ROR moves to wing and Eichel is top center. that way everyone had their seasoning and Sabres are ready to step to playoffs - Beezer33
Exactly what I was thinking. Start Reinhart in Rochester and see how he handles top line duties there. If he looks good when Eichel inevitably takes over 1C, bring him up to be the 2C so you have Kane/Eichel/O'Reilly and Moulson/Reinhart/Ennis. If he's not dominating in the A keep him there the whole year and just stay with Eichel and O'Reilly as the 1C and 2C. Or keep O'Reilly on the top line with Eichel and have Girgs play 2C. Plenty of options. |

Didnt Murray sign Ennis to a two year deal not Darcy? Also Larsson and Foligno are WAY higher to put together for a d man. We have too many forwards and since they are young and cheap it should bring a nice return. If you put those two and a 2nd I really think wed land a decent player - Beezer33
2 years from now, IMO the centers are eichel, reinhart and girgens
based on formula's that means 2, maybe 3 wingers get paid
your top 4 d gets paid
your goalie
is ennis above kane and ror?
I think he is a distant 3rd, thus an asset to get a top 4 d man |

pissing contest aside, there is no reason the blue jackets shouldn't be a top 4 team in the east this season |

Not really sure what the Sabres do here. We all assume that they'll just push him to the wing to create balance in the top 6. I don't think handing him top 6 time will immediately lead to success. Playing with O'Reilly can be a huge advantage, but O'Reilly is most likely the 1C until they believe Eichel can handle it. Meanwhile Kane is the 1LW and Ennis, Moulson Foligno, Girgensons, Gionta, Larsson all played in the teams top 6 last year... and don't forget Mcginn. Girgensons could be u stoppable playing against 3rd lines, while a Bylsma may not give the 19 year old (20 in Nov.) in the top 6. Playing on the power play could significantly help make up the minutes he gets if playing on the 3rd or maybe even 4th lines... Buffalo is going to be lethal once he gets it all together playing both physically and mentally, the same goes for Eichel, who already has it |

good point...it's a shame 'cause i'm actually a big fan of the jackets dating back to 2011 when I went to their home finale' against the sabres |

darcy drafted and paid him, not murray
for all we know , eichel and reinhart are on the dot for the top 2 lines and ror and girgens are on the wing
that makes ennis a trade asset for a top 4 d man - homiedclown
TM did resign him no? |

Thank you!!! Just because he went 2nd overall doesn't mean he doesn't need a little more AHL action! - Sabre_Tooth
List me players that have gone first overall forward that went to the AHL or have not played in the NHL the next year it just does not happen in this age |

THere is so much that depends on that.
How much does the cap rise. Do Reinhart and Eichel take bridge deal. etc etc. Good news is we have 3 years to not worry about that. |

agreed
murray needs more then bogo and risto for that top 4 and moving big z clinches something needs to be done
foligno, larsson and a second would probably not get the player they need for a long term option and you don't add kane and ror to bank on mccabe and pysyk to round out the top 4

Andy Strickland @andystrickland 17m17 minutes ago
It appears Johhny Oduya is staying patient in hope of returning to #blackhawks. Told he turned down significant offer from #sabres
I would expect a trade sooner rather than later. |

You all do realize Reinhart is "technically" more NHL ready than Eichel is as of this writing, correct?
Reinhart won't be in the AHL. Now, that's just my opinion. I severely doubt he's sent down unless he falls flat on his face at training camp. Bylsma will have no problem deploying ROR all over the line-up; he's not a lock to play center himself.
Moulson-Girgensons-ROR
Kane-Reinhart-Ennis
McGinn-Eichel-Gionta
Foligno-Legwand-Larsson
Forwards are tremendously better. Two defensemen away from being very, very legit in the East IMO. |
