It doesn't take a @#$#@ rocket scientist to see very clearly that Daley had a great season last year. And it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that Sharp is now on the over-the-hill gang ( as much as I love him as a player) and someone who is very prone to injuries. If Dallas can get a full year out of him I would be extremely surprised.

Getting in late on this, but enjoyed a nice afternoon in Montreal. The question on PR management or mismanagement. I would say the biggest problem are Vancouver fans, bloggers and writers. Pretty hard to have a comms strategy when the recipients are insane. Linden's comment about last year you thought I was too nice and this year I'm attacked for making tough decisions is apt. This group brought the team back from falling off the cliff. The team could slip this year, but help appears to be on its way. The fact that Benning has to explain every time he goes to the bathroom is nuts.

It could always be worse... it could be the Oilers or Leafs thread. At least here the stupidity is kept to a minimum and all you have to worry about is a couple of trolls here or there.

So I had a short conversation with a former canuck season ticket holder when I was getting off the plane in Calgary. He said what a lot of the regular Joe Canuck fans are saying. The team needs to get younger bigger faster ect. He didn't seem to have much confidence in Linden or Benning. Also said he has been contacted by Linden about his season ticket status and continuing and he said to me that he wasn't excited and not willing to pay for the product being put on the ice. That he would also be a faithful Canuck fan for life but not willing to put that money every year and not getting any better result. Just to make the playoffs every year isn't enough.

I made a comment on how everyone seems to be so upset about losing our backup goalie and are losing sight of the fact that he was just that a backup goalie. He never said a thing but gave me this look like I was bat $hit cray.

In response from page 2.. Hamhuis certainly not worth 2 1sts. But he could fetch a 1st +..... meaning a deal similar to what Coburn got. A 1st and 3rd or 1st and B prospect. It really would depend how late in the round the pick is.
