A LOT of those incidents were the elderly confusing the brake for the gas though lol, and some of the incidents were actually where the car was fully inside the store, not just a broken window like ROR's shotty job

I heard... My mother in law is a commercial insurance broker for a multinational company in Hamilton and has clients all over southern ontario and a few in NWNY... needless to say their industry noticed

Sooo despite all the ROR drama, I attended the 3v3 yesterday and wanted to share some of my thoughts:

Eichel- obviously a stud. He has this incredible ability to sauce a puck from one side of the crease and have it land on the other side on a teammates stick for a backdoor goal. Also is a threat to shoot from almost anywhere unexpectedly and oftentimes catches goalies off guard. He also missed almost every breakaway I saw him take (every tie game ended in a shootout so there were quite a few attempts). Now I don't think that was due to poor moves, rather the goalies just made good saves.

Cornel- no one on here mentions him much and I don't have much to add but he has an absolute rocket of a shot. Sitting behind the net one of his pucks caught the glass and it was terrifying for the people next to me.

Andrew Poturalsky- Nichols kid, playing at UNH. He doesn't have NHL size, but has good hockey sense and a great shot. He sniped top corner on the goalies a few times.

Now for goalies (these are my favorite as I am a former goalie and I spent the most amount of time watching them to see what we have. This is not a position you can judge on strictly stats so seeing them in person was important):

Kasdorf- easily the best positional goaltender we have. He is square to almost every shot and thus looks the most comfortable in the net making the saves look easy. Was scored on by Eichel who shot a quick turnaround shot that kind of caught him off guard but is fairly solid overall. His awareness may be slightly lacking (I am nit-picking I know) as one play during his college game at Notre Dame comes to mind. There was a shot from the point (no screen) and the only man in the slot was positioned to his left(uncovered by RPI). The puck went off his left pad straight to the Notre Dame player who scored an easy goal. I know the defense on that play was pathetic but as a goalie you HAVE to know that that guy is there and direct the rebound to a different spot. Having said that I feel Kasdorf is the best of the goalies on the ice at the scrimmage.

Petersen- Could potentially be the best of the three, but he has a major stylistic flaw. When players are entering the zone, Petersen c-cuts backwards following the play rather than shuffling around the crease like you are supposed to. I simply cannot believe no coach at Notre Dame or anyone he went to tried to fix this problem. Basically by c-cutting, following the play the goalie does not have his feet square to the shooter. He then compensates by rotating his torso so that half is square. The effect of this causes the goalie to be off balance and appear like he is fighting the puck when making saves and giving up worse rebounds. Having said this, he gets away with it at the college level because he still has really good reactions and is an incredible skater(the best of the 3). At the pro level guys will be able to hit the corners that his style leaves open from longer ranges and he won't have the Notre Dame defense to take care of those rebounds. Now outside of that he is an incredible goalie, moving laterally very quickly and not many pucks get by him in tight.

Johansson- like Petersen, he also has a stylistic flaw. When Johansson is shuffling he his weight gets shifted and you can see him lean to one side and not have his weight distributed evenly as he shuffles. This causes him to be slightly off balance and take a little while longer than if he keeps his weight evenly distributed when shuffling as Kasdorf does. Once again, he is still a very good goalie, with long legs, good skater and good in tight.

These are just a few of the observations I had and a few small issues I found while watching our goalies. These problems can be fixed by good coaching and practice, but it is hard to say how much of an effect it would have on a guy who has played his entire life one way and is suddenly asked to change his style. Many times it takes years and years once a guy has decent coaching and that is why I believe it takes so much longer for goaltenders to develop

Stil not sure what Kasdorf has at the pro level. I think he can definitely be a solid AHL goalie despite his recent stats at RPI(the team has not been good lately) and from there its almost a crapshoot for goaltenders, but he certainly has the style and skating to play at the next level.

As far as Cornel goes, I honestly have no idea. I haven't heard much about him since he was drafted but his shot struck me as something noteworthy and worth mentioning
