Ok... He played 75% of the few games he actually did play very injured on a historically bad team with terrible linemates as I recall... I'm going to wait to see how he does to start this year when he's fully healthy to judge him.

He's not going to be fully healthy that's the problem

I think he's a good guy to have around the locker room with all the kids. He hates to lose and leaves it all out on the ice when he does play. He was in way over his head last year on the 1st pairing but should be plenty serviceable on the 2nd or 3rd, though the 3rd would be preferable. He blocks shots and is good on the PK. He's better than Weber if you ask me, as he doesn't seem to have a habit of screening the goalie or have pucks ricochet into the net off of him either.

Anyone saying Weber is better either doesn't watch hockey or ha a personal vendetta against Gorges

I agree if Oduya signs here and Murray makes a trade for another one it would complete the best offseason in Buffalo Sports History.

Risto Yandle Bogo Oduya would be a great top 4 with Gorges and Pysyk rounding out the bottom and Weber being the 7th

- Stripes77

No way Pysyk belongs in the bottom pair. Since it is highly unlikely we get both it won't be a problem.

He's going to be 34 when the season starts. I get the whole cups/experience thing, but there has to be a better option out there.
- bobmack13

Oduya stays in great shape too. Would mentor the younglings and be gone when they mature and get their 2nd/bigger contracts. Costs us no prospects = no brainer

Yes because anyone saying Weber is better than Gorges is only going to hurt Weber in the long run....

IF and that's a big IF those two players or their equivalent were acquired that's absolutely where Pysyk belongs.

However with 6 D like that its not like Pysyk won't be getting minutes (unlike the Hawks in the playoffs) Bylsma would play the 3 pairings pretty evenly IMO

Oduya to make decision this week sabres or hawks per NBC
- GERBE!!!75PTS

It does not say it is definitely either the Sabres or Hawks.

This is the exact post from NBC....
While Johnny Oduya is out there too, he’s expected to make his decision within the week. The Buffalo Sabres and Chicago Blackhawks are among his potential destinations

A foligno Larsson Deslauriers line would be perfect for this time moving forward. Hitting, PK, enough talent to chip in with scoring, two guys willing to drop the gloves and Larsson is a pest who can draw penalties. You won't find a better 4th line in the league.
- sskkoo1

It's not like that line will cost you a lot in terms of the teams cap either.

No more scrubs on the 4th line.

I feel Reinhart could have a really good year. With the drafting of Eichel I feel the pressure has gone away a little. I feel he could be an under the radar star for us this year.

Not sure what nickname for Murray I like better: beady eyed douche or classic pre-ejaculating kid

Sure he is, I posted yesterday I got a text saying that the Sabres are going to up there offer to Oduya. Unless the Hawks move Bickell they won't be able to come close to the Sabres offer, or if Oduya gives them a big discount.

Yup once prospect scrimmage later McCabe is a stud already...

I like McCabe I think he will be a good player in the NHL but that comment was just insane.
