To that I say "meh." There aren't really any D in our system that seem to be ready to breakout and make the jump to the NHL so filling our cap with a decent d-man short term is probably a good play.

Now that he isn't signing in CHI, Leafs should see if they can get Oduya on a 1-2 year deal for 4.5 or less. Take some of the heat off of Rielly for a year or two.

I think being 34 he will try for 3+ years though.
