Good news is Beeston is gone this year so out goes his guys.

AA needs to sell some assets to go for it. I doubt all our prospects are super studs. As fans we need to be realistic that not everyone turns out.

I am a little curious to see how Bozak will do with out Phil around...Kessel was never injured and always played with Bozak. He tucked him in at night and made him bacon and eggs in the morning. Bozak is our best faceoff guy and is a capable 2nd line centre. Might be smart to hang on to him and see what he is capable of.....im sure the Leafs will end up trading him for a 2nd round pick and a b level prospect. Time will tell.....

We will now be holding on to him...Babcock will be turning him into the next coming of Nick Lidstrom. In 2 years time we will trade him along with 40 goal scorer Peter Holland to Edmonton for Mcdavid.

This whole seal hunt situation is so franked up.

Yeah, I get that people didn't like when baby harp seals were being clubbed - but that's been outlawed since the mid franking 1980s!

So why the poop are Americans (I'll leave Euros out of this for the moment, but make no mistake, I think they are franked, too) so up in arms about Canadians killing seals?

If I go to the States, I can kill anything I want, with crazy-assed guns coming out my wazoo. I can hunt bear. I can hunt boar. I can hunt deer. I can hunt walrus. I'll bet I can find a place where I can hunt elephant.

But seals are somehow sacred? WTF?

Yeah, you may think the hakapik is nasty, but every study has shown it is a humane way to kill. But I can hunt anything in the States with a crossbow, which very often leads to animals being in wicked pain while you try to kill it with your 3rd or 4th shot.

I'm all for hunting seals for first nations people who have been doing it for milenniums to feed and clothe themselves. But to kill seals for monetary gain is immoral imo. Why should some newfy be allowed to kill a highly intellegent animal when there's millions of stupid af moose to kill? They don't do it to feed themselves, they do it out of tradition. And many traditions are simply out dated. Like the merciless slaughter of whales and dolphins in some European or asian countries. It's really no different than killing cats and dogs or bald eagles etc. Some animals should be hunted, while others shouldn't. How could someone possibly enjoy killing a seal? You need a psych evaluation if killing animals is a passtime you enjoy. And don't give me this cod population BS... the eat krill for the most part and don't stray too far out to sea. Some things need to be buried, like the seal hunt.
