there's quite a few more interesting UFAs left available than in most other years.
some of these guys might be left without a job at start of season, and only sign with a team when a big injury comes up.
the outcome of hearings on RFAs will have some impact as well on signings/trades etc.

I doubt any of the "big names" left will be on the table once the season starts. Rarely happens.
Teams will let them sweat a bit, and sign them cheap before/during training camp. |

just curious... why were they a 100-point playoff team the year before last, when he wasn't even nominated for the Vezina? and why did they win the division the year before that when he posted a .905 save percentage and no one wanted him within 1000 miles of Sochi going into the next season?

Him and trivling however you spell it in Calg have been making decent moves... (frank)ing Burke in Toronto .probably learned his lesson

i agree he's not great but he's an upgrade over Lehtonen. Lehtonene gave them brutal goaltending last year and i think Niemi will give them mediocre goaltending. |
