more and more this comes out as coinciding with a players "off" year... not at all surprising, but way to often overlooked.

Reimer did it for 35 games in a season where the leafs were scoring a poop ton of goals. Take the goggles off and just watch the two play, there's no way you can compare the two. Bernier's a great tender, I know your a hater so I won't beat this to death again with you. Bernier will be solid again this year, can't wait to watch em.

You don't want these guys to get conditioned to lose. Quite the opposite. They got their 2-3 high end picks (Nylander, Marner, Rielly) over the last few years. Just keep drafting smart (no matter the place) and with the renewed focus on development, they can still churn out solid NHL players.

I don't think finishing in the basement solves anything really. Leafs luck would have them finish last and still draft 4th overall (thanks to the new lottery rules)
