Guarantee he's feverishly looking through the article for a piece of information he can take out of context and paste here - PhillySportsGuy
What's more of a guarantee is that you'll make it about the poster, rather than the content and context of the actual discussion. |

I didn't want to start a poopstorm, but it could've been argued - AllInForFlyers
no doubt but it would have been a roll of the dice. I think Hexy and his team knew where things were going to end up on the 21st so he got the best he could out of it. bottom line is we needed to sign this deal and now we have a lot of guys to deal at the trade deadline. Wouldn't be shocked now that he has MDZ locked down that there is still a move or two left with the D. |

Yes, he has to clear waivers, but that has more to do with games played than 1-way contracts. All a 1-way contract means is that you get paid your NHL salary whether you play in the NHL or AHL/ECHL. - jmatchett383
Mannings are dime a dozen players, there is little risk that they'd lose him via waivers, IMO |

Probably. Still, he's the most NHL-proven tweener we have. Good 2-game call-up guy. |

Are we retaining those RFAs? Are we re-signing either of those UFA's (assuming either one plays well)?
Also, as long as they look ready, I'd rather get Ghost/Hagg into the lineup next year instead of burning a year of Provorov's ELC earlier than needed. |

It's pretty amusing that a simple question asking how have the Leafs benefitted from the use of analytics, and how has it helped them progress, has now been turned into a comparison between the Hawks success and Toronto's, by one poster in particular.
The reality is that the Hawks success is more widely attributed to the core of Toews, Kane, and Keith more so than the use of analytics. Both teams incorporate analytics into their decsion making. Well what's the difference. I think the clear difference puts analytics into the proper perspective, and how much value it actually has. - MJL

If Medvedev can translate his KHL play to the NHL, he might be their best defenseman. I asked a couple of Russian writers about him and looked at a bunch if highlights, the dude is skilled. Depends on how well & how quickly he can adapt |

Agreed on Ghost or Hagg before our other young prospects. Got to take guys up slowly over the next 3 years. Save those ELC's as long as you can...get the best bang for your buck when we are more ready to compete. |

Depending on his play, he could be part of the top-4 moving forward. Do you think a Meszaros parallel can be drawn? |

Agreed. From what I've seen and read he seems to be a smaller version of Coburn but with better hockey sense. I could see him and MDZ as the top pair by seasons end. |

Didn't Tulsky get snatched up by Carolina? Sorry, I realize I'm like 8 pages late but I wonder if he is the reason their advanced numbers were pretty good. |

He is the unknown at this point. I mean really...how good to have to be to be the Flyers' best D right now. They liked him for a reason so I got my fingers crossed. |

Have to hand it to Hexy. No ridiculous moves, farm system stocked and his Roster set on paper for next season by mid July. Regardless how this season plays out, The Flyers are in good hands going forward.

The Flyers were not the only team kicking his tires, hopefully he comes in and plays well. If he can be a legitimate top 4 guy it will help immensely |

I think he could be more offensive. One of the highlight videos has him scoring off the rush a few times, looking good doing so |
