Are we retaining those RFAs? Are we resigning either of those UFA's (assuming either one plays well)?
Also, as long as they look ready, I'd rather get Ghost/Hagg into the lineup next year instead of burning a year of Provorov's ELC earlier than needed. - jmatchett383
Schenn 100% gone.
Gudas no reason to keep around, heck he could be the one traded lol.
Medvedev could be brought back if he plays well, or he could end up being Anton Belov lol.
Manning can be retained but he'll be in the AHL, or as a #7/8 guy.
If Provorov is better than Ghost/Hagg then he's on the team. You dont keep a dman off the roster cause you dont want to burn a year off his ELC... if he's not in the NHL this year, he 1000% will be next year.
Provorov is the real deal. Some dont see that, and thats ok, but seriously... this kid has the potential to win Norris' and be one of the best dmen in the world. Thats his ceiling. Am I expecting that? Nope. I expect him to be at minimum a very solid #2 (think Roman Josi/Brent Seabrook, etc). Just saying thats his ceiling |

Seems like a fair deal for both sides. MDZ was pretty solid last year.
And when juxtaposed to MacDonald's contract, it's a bargain!

Do you think any more trades are happening? I could see them moving Schenn or possibly even Streit to clear more cap. Sending Manning down would give them 1.2 so maybe they are ok with where the roster is as it sits. |

The Flyers were not the only team kicking his tires, hopefully he comes in and plays well. If he can be a legitimate top 4 guy it will help immensely - Jsaquella
Could totally change the feel of how the D looks/performs, because while MDZ does have to do it again, he was at worst a Top 5 defenseman the majority of the season and a legit top pairing guy the last 20-ish games
Not saying he will do it again; that's the question. But I know what I saw last year |

I think he could be more offensive. One of the highlight videos has him scoring off the rush a few times, looking good doing so - Jsaquella
That would be awesome. |

Gotta think after this year our d corps looks like:
Streit-Provorov
MDZ-Morin
Ghost-MacDonald
Schultz
Then in 17/18:
Provorov-Morin
Ghost-Sanheim
Hagg-MacDonald
Lets get Jake locked up now. - FLYERSROCK!
I'm all for adding skill but even with Morin, both those blue lines are looking a little soft. |

Del Zotto doesn't have the defensive game to be a top pairing defenseman in my opinion. I don't think he's a liability defensively, but that side of his game isn't top pairing level, not even for a 20 game stretch. |

I'd consider kicking tires with Buffalo regarding Streit. They just struck out on Odyua. Even send Macdonald's name over as a hail mary. |

Does this mean I can still list Vinny getting hurt in tc to end his career as wish without fear of political correctness intervention |

I feel like Buffalo never should have amnestied Ehrhoff.
I guess they may not have been bad enough to assure one of the top 2 spots though so maybe it's ok. |

I didn't think you could win like that, but I was wrong
I thought Anaheim would punish them so much they wouldn't get out of that series, but I was dead wrong

Gotta catch em first. All kidding aside, while not Pronger or Hatcher, neither Keith or Oduya is soft. |

Initially I didn't think they had enough either. After they dispatched the wild in the 2nd round the way they did no one was gonna stop them |
