Gudas no reason to keep around, heck he could be the one traded lol.
Medvedev could be brought back if he plays well, or he could end up being Anton Belov lol.
Manning can be retained but he'll be in the AHL, or as a #7/8 guy.

If Provorov is better than Ghost/Hagg then he's on the team. You dont keep a dman off the roster cause you dont want to burn a year off his ELC... if he's not in the NHL this year, he 1000% will be next year.

Provorov is the real deal. Some dont see that, and thats ok, but seriously... this kid has the potential to win Norris' and be one of the best dmen in the world. Thats his ceiling. Am I expecting that? Nope. I expect him to be at minimum a very solid #2 (think Roman Josi/Brent Seabrook, etc). Just saying thats his ceiling

Bill just wrote about bring up D early in their NHL life. I do think that numbers come into play right now in the Cap world. Hexy has been playing his cards pretty good as of now. I have to think he is considering money and the bestine up and won't give that up because he wants to run at the cup in the future.

facts are facts.........I did the corsi on this one.

If healthy, I really think Gudas has a future here. He's only played 224 NHL games and being a righty, I think there is value. I hope he could be type of dman who a team could carry with a cap hit of between $3.5- $4 million past the age of 27. He'll never be a big point producer, but contribute on the PK and hopefully make a decent first pass.

I have to admit, I'm a little in the dark on Medv and Gudas. They are wild cards IMO. not sure how they will fit. Hexy said he believed the Russian to be a top 4 pairing. I have to ask, on this team or average D teams. If it is average D teams then he has top pairing promise on our squad

Also, where does Gudas fit in? Seen some highlights of big hits but word is he is slow. Is that being inflated?

Flyers should really think about extending Couts long term this offseason. Would be a great opportunity to buy low and hope to save long term. 6 year deal would be good.

Might be wise to look to extend Raffl long term too. If he spends this whole season with G and Jake along with getting PP time, he could be in for a monster year.

Obviously need to extend Jake too. Hopefully gives a bit of a discount ($7.5M range). Seems to like playing/living in Philly area
