This argument is flawed in that Strome is a better prospect at this point than all 3 of those players. - djamon
You like to assume a lot. Like how you know that Strome is both more physically and mentally developed for the NHL than Nuge and Yak were. I don't know where you get this poop from but it looks pretty stupid to make these statements when Strome has yet to play an NHL game. |

Strome is better than Sam Bennett?!? - Nucker101
At this point in their relative careers...yes. (a month after they were drafted) |

Strome is a better prospect than Draisatl? Completely disagree. I'd take Leon over Strome any day of the week. - NugentHallberle
I'm sure you would.
BTW...I'm not talking about today...I'm talking about the same relative time in their careers. Drasaitl has had another year to develop...he's likely further along than Strome is. Drasaitl was #4 in a MUCH weaker draft. |

So I assume you think RNH was physically ready to play in the NHL? Or that Yak was emotionally ready? Because if you think either of those things you're an idiot. I'm only comparing Strome to those 2, and frankly it's an easy comparison to make. |

Fine I'll bite. Please explain to me your proof of how Yakupov wasn't emotionally ready. |

Disagree. I know everyone loves looking at junior point totals and everything but considering that Strome played against 2nd pairing OHL'ers and on the PP with McJesus I was more impressed with Bennett. Bennett is a better skater as well and more physical.
But keep in mind that you're talking to someone who had Bennett ranked 1st last year and had Strome ranked 5th this year. |

I'm only going by the opinions of those who are paid to do it for a living. Strome is projected to be a superstar in this league. Things could obviously change down the road for sure. Bennett has probably surpassed where most though he would be at this point, and Strome could poop the bed. But a month after their respective drafts Strome would definitely be viewed as having a higher upside. |

If you think you know anything about how NHL physically or emotionally ready Strome is, regardless of who it's relative to, when Strome has yet to play a game in the NHL, then unfortunately you sir are the idiot... |

How was rnh not physically ready to play in the nhl? 52 points in 62 games, should have won rookie of the year.. Hurt himself tripping over the blue line so don't tell me that's your reasoning |

Where do you see these projections? I don't see anywhere he was projected to be anymore of a "Superstar" than Draisaitl, Bennett, Drouin. |

If these useless journalist anecdotes are your idea of evidence to support a point than you honestly have no business starting an argument with anyone... - RonPielep
I didn't start it.
Look, if people don't want to pay attention to what's going on, while it's going on, then it isn't up to me to dig up 2 year old articles in order to inform them. I'm not breaking new ground when I say Yak wasn't emotionally ready to play in the NHL as an 18 year old. Nor is it a shocking claim to say that RNH was too small at 18 to withstand playing 1C in the NHL. You don't agree? Fine...I don't give a poop. |

No you're breaking horsepoop ground when you pretend like you already know that Strome is more ready in either way than either of those players when he hasn't even played a game. I don't know if he is your high school BF or some poop but you look like a serious tard when you start spreading claims that there is literally no facts to support at this point of time. |

It's all about ice time. If he was on a NHL team he would probably a 3rd line center. In this case he'd be better off playing Junior and getting tons of ice time. Since the Coyotes are not a good team then he could play top six minutes.
I wish they would allow 18 and 19 year old players to play in the AHL. Give them one season to become a pro and go from there. |
