In fact, I'll take it a step further. The fact that we're arguing whether guys like Jason Pomminville or Bobby Ryan should have been on the team over Ryan Callahan or Dustin Brown just illustrates how outmatched the US team really was in that tournament a year ago.

I was referring to Darcy signing Scott cuz it made us tougher after the whole Lucic ordeal. Same reason the Roy for Ott deal was made

We lost 1-0 to canada & the goal canada scored was a blast from the point. Pommer &/or ryan could have made a difference over callahan &/or brown. Team usa wasnt there for 3rd place. Team was demoralized and just went through the motions after losing 1-0 to canada

This was a much bigger problem than Pomminville or Ryan not making the roster. The fact that the US looked at playing for third place as such a tragedy is a disgrace. Be happy you made it that far in a tournament featuring the best players in the world. Team USA needed an attitude adjustment more than it needed different players.
