sats vs eye test, crips vs bloods there will never be peace - dbell646
There will be peace once that great barbed wire fence is torn down & all Americadians will walk freely throughout the great north & all play on the large ice with small nets! |

Man, this place is dead.
Just read Mackey's article about who is going to take key face-offs and play on the PK now that Spaling, Winnik, Adams, Lapierre, etc are gone. We are all glad they are gone but its a legit question. Some combo of Sutter, Dupuis, Kunitz, and whoever plays the 4th line I guess.
On another note, one player I really miss and wish we still had....Rob Klinkhammer. |

I'd like to see Sid get more time on the PK. But I imagine it will be Crosby and Sutter taking the in zone draw, even if it means Sid wins the draw, dumps the puck on the PK and changes for a forward.. Winnik and Adams were never very good on faceoffs, Lapierre was solid at faceoffs but terrible at every other facet of hockey... The PK will be fine, I'm not worried about that at all. It doesn't have to be scrubs on the PK like it used to be. |

I'm looking at Sheary to have a Gibbons esque affect on the PK, but should be an all around better player. Sundqvist will likely center our second unit. If Rust makes the team he'll be on there. I'm really not worried. Our coaching staff has made players like Adams and Scuderi effective on the PK. I'm sure they can make better players just as effective.
I wouldn't mind having Klinkhammer on this team at all, but his trade went towards a good cause so I'm not upset about it. |

Actually I didn't mind Winnik. The rest I'm glad are gone. The 3rd and 4th liners can handle faceoffs and shot blocking on the PK. |

Yeah, but Kane and Toews are just so clutch and Crosby and Malkin are whiny and bad leaders... |

Hate the fans that are like that.. Probably Yankee fans too (or whoever is the best team over the past few years, don't follow baseball anymore). |

Didn't realize Erixon was such a solid contributor at the AHL level. Maybe he will become an NHL regular for the Pens. That would be hilarious if the best prospect in that trade ended up being him instead of Kapanen/Harrington/1st rounder. - jfkst1
I didn't realize he was only 24. Seems like he's been around for 10 years. |

For sure, 100% agree. Just dont think Sid Geno Kessel or Hornqvist should be killing penalties. It's too much responsibility on them with heavy 5 on 5 minutes and PP time....plus I just dont want those guys blocking shots (instert Kessel joke here).
I just thought it was interesting that our PK unit wont be "known" commodities |

Not interesting to me. Just proof of what most rational Pens fans already knew. It's a team sport. Blaming stars is the easy way out. People forget scoring goals in the playoffs is hard. Sid and Geno are as good as any forwards. |

For some stupid reason they didn't include the 08-09 season. They should include every season that they have played. |

Yikes... Washington Goalie looking for 8 mil+ in his arbitration... That would give their cap a nice kick in the nuts. |
