Seth MacFarlen is not as funny as people give him credit for. That "1000 ways to die in the west" was another Hugh let down. It's clear that it is his staff of writers on Family Guy that make the show such a success.

I took my nephew to see it, so it cost me I think $17 or so. I felt like someone robbed me and then slapped me in the face.

I promised the kid I would take him to the movies that weekend. There wasn't much up that he hadn't seen yet and R-rated is kind of off limits if there is nudity. So had no other options. I knew it was going to be bad, but I was not in-store just how bat it actually was.

Going to see Spy this weekend. Hope it brings McCarthy back up in my eyes. The Heat was awesome for me, so I hope it doesn't take a downturn as I'm already losing respect for her after they turned Mike and Molly into a "watch Melissa McCarthy do physical comedy every episode!" mess.

I haven't paid to watch a movie in probably 10 years.. if they don't play it on tv or someone i know rents it I don't see it.. $20 for me and my wife to go watch a movie to me is a waste.. i would rather just go buy a bottle and sit on the porch like a couple of rednecks.

Yeah, it seems like they're always getting the larger actors to do slap-stick to be funny. It gets old quick. I've never got how someone running around screaming and throwing themselves into things was hilarious. If they're really comedians then make me laugh at the dialect you come up with. The only slap-stick I ever want to see is the three stooges. And even they made jokes to go with their behavior.

Slapstick is fine...but of course once it gets laughs and attention, it becomes something that gets over-used.

I get that it's well-regarded...I just couldn't get past the beginning with all the toilet stuff or whatever was going on. Been a long time since I've seen it, and my memory is crap anyways, but it's not my bag.

I also don't like Pulp Fiction or Big Lebowski (sorry sabchuk), and those are cult favorites of "my generation".

also: Mike and Molly with her losing all that weight it might destroy the show IMO ..
I saw nothing wrong with her Character being "Big" that's what made the show for me it's funny

but she wants to be healthy so more power to her
