Luckily about 85% of his school is paid in scholarships.
I think we split about $3k a semester to send him to UT Knoxville.

My sons first choice was Auburn.... That poop would have been ridiculous.
luckily he changed his mind beginning senior year.
We would have lost out on the lotto scholarship ($4k) and had to pay about $10k or more extra.

But the only reason they got Holtby so cheap (yes, 6mil per for that long is kinda cheap) is BC he's so young & only had 1 full season starting
If he had a season like last again next year & then his contract was up...
Then we're prob looking at something in the 7+ range

It's risky to do it like that, but if you're right it can be a real adantage to have a top goalie at a good price
BC we all know, salaries will get bigger & bigger each year

AlbAny grad 1989 partner in typical upstate firm says don't underestimate the value of federal govt bennies - and don't overestimate the number of jobs available in the states biggest law firms. Everyone else is working really hard to get to retirement by funding their own 401ks, and sucking wind on high deductible health insurance plans where you fund the first $5,000 of your own health care.

It's a real world out there.

How do people feel about Luke Schenn? He was highly toutedn showed signs of being great before ultimately struggling. He's probably available and not for much. Would anyone want to take a chance on him? I think I would.

Also Coburn or Nesterov from Tampa? We all expect Murray to do something by training camp right? I'd like Nesterov. Young and mobile and the 7th guy in Tampa but he would probably cost a bit plus a bad contract coming back too.
