I don't think there was much of a Raymond fanbase when he left
Santorelli at the price TO got him for sure, I wanted him back. Ideally we could have just signed him and asked for one of ANA's better prospects instead of Bonino. - Nucker101
Yeah. I really liked Santo as a bottom 6 forward for the short time we had him. I'm sure he was the same in Van (pre injury). Have no idea what went wrong in Nashville though? |

I think when you add players like that it is because you want to try and sneak in the playoffs. It didn't help us or Leafs taking those bottom players |

They would be good pickups but I worry about all of the waiver eligible players we have. If Benning doesn't make room for them and we lose them for nothing it's going to be unbearable in here. - CubanBuffet
We can still add a vet center and not risk moving a waiver eligible player, and that is assuming Baertschi is resigned.
Sedin Sedin Burrows
Baertschi* Bonino Vrbata
Higgins Horvat Hansen
Dorset UFA Prust
Vey
Rotate any of the 4th line in and out of the pressbox and Kenins/Grenier will be callups as they can still move freely through waivers. |

Maybe limited opportunity?
Similar to Vermette in Chicago? Taking on a lesser role in a new system. Harder to get going when you are accustomed to playing more?
Santo did show pretty well in Vancouver. |

But he turned into a stud in Calgary...he just needed a change of scenery, he was under utilized in Van, and he helped you guys reach the cap floor... |

I look at Fehr and think we need another centre for the bottom 6 or 4th line anyway and then I cringe at the thought of one of the most expensive 4th lines in the league if it was Prust Fehr Dorsett...
Maybe if we moved a winger and freed up some cap space... - hillbillydeluxe
As long as all 3 lines could play I don't care what the cap hit is.
If Fehr was brought in, I would prefer seeing him get some better offensive linemates.
Baertshi Fehr Burrows
Dorsett Bonino Hansen
Higgins Horvat Prust/Vey
for example

Maybe Cassels will get a shot at 4lc? Friesen or Hamilton? (not the biggest guys but may fit)

I think Sven Cassels and JV have spots to lose. |

When I saw this, Dorset UFA Prust, I started thinking that not having a guy penciled in there isn't so bad. More flexibility and an actual spot for prospects/fringe to compete for...
too bad it wasn't a wing open instead of the centre spot. |

I hope you're right, I get the impression that something would have to literally fall into JB's lap for him not to give the kids a chance at success. |

I think JV will come out banging right away but be a bottom 6 this year.
I expect Sven to score 12 goals only and Cassels I expect a smooth transition with Prust and Dorsett |

I'm still wondering who would be moved if JV makes the club... Hansen?
Wish he played centre.
I would hope Sven would get 15 at least (why 15? cause it is more than 12 ) if he is on the 2nd line for most of the year. I just hope Sven can get some points and JB subsequently moves him for a first rounder... If I was his agent, I'd go for a 1 year deal and have him prove he can be top 6 and then get paid. Vrbata on the opposite wing should open up some space for Sven and get him some assists too. |

There's no "e" in awful and yes....we are entering that state. But, I think the Canucks are still a good enough team to compete with the middle of the pack. |
