I wouldn't have minded trying Semin with Sedins to see if he if he could rekindle the sort of chemistry he had with Backstrom. If not, waive him for and only lose $200K of cap-space.

JB promised Vrbata two years of Sedinery and he only got half. No way Semin was buying a word he was saying about that

Hope we are still not fighting over line combinations... Cuz that is so ridiculous.

Hope you guys are enjoying the summer! Cheers!

Line combo's? That was the least of the annoying sh!t to me. I like the line combo discussion. Although I thought belcher put up 3 third lines...

I keep thinking we need to bring in a top 4 dman and I don't even want to talk about the biggest obstacle. That and Miller talk was getting ridiculous.

Anyway, I like looking at line combo's. The players that are here with the club or in the system. And you start counting and trying to figure out who is missing and who needs to move to make room.

And yes, great summer. right back at ya. Feeling positive too about the Canucks.

This is my frustration... I don't see anyone out there that is available that I would want on this club. I hope they don't just go after what is available. That rarely works. Let other teams overspend on other teams leftovers-- Let's face it ... Many UFA's are just that for a reason-- Either they want to be over paid or their former employer see's little to no value.

For where this team is at right now-- I would rather stand pat than make a financial mistake.

Better to suck this year and have a legit shot at Austin Matthews.

I was just up in Portland and Seattle... It was incredible. Tough not being able to finish it off and go home for a few days. Hopefully next year.

It won't be a popular consideration, but I'm pretty sure Horvat will be waiver exempt and can play in the AHL this year, if there are issues keeping some players in the NHL or risk loosing them to waivers...

The only way to win is draft and develop. The Leafs have been proving this point for the past 48 years

Sounds like fun. some nice country down there. We were down in Portland last August. the food trucks. went to a few restaurants, the only one that I really remember was 'the screen door'

wifey is catholic, so we had to check out the grotto. that was nice.

I can't wait to get back down there.

It is an option, but we are so thin at centre...

are you thinking we are going to pick up anyone in particular?

No kidding, the second WD and Benning did that, there'd be a riot that would make the '94 and '11 Stanley Cup Riots seem tame by comparison, there might be the first assassination of a HC and/or GM in history... Yeah, I know, hyperbole... the riot would happen though.
