Yeah but, Therrien will never give him a chance! - Pecafan Fan
I hope they don't try him there mid-season like last year. Start him there in camp. And move Desharnais or whoever on the wing. |

So people aren't happy with a 24% raise on their season tickets?
I wonder why... - Pecafan Fan
They raise the cheaper seats by 24% but barely raise the price of the reds. The poor getting poorer |

Eller: 0.5 PPG/playoffs
DD: 0.35/playoffs
and you can guess which one plays with the 35-goal scorer and gets #1 PP time.
in the playoffs, sorry but i would rather see Eller as the #1 center than DD. and i'm not a huge Eller fan. but Desharnais as your first line center in the playoffs is destructive. you're neutralizing your top line and biggest scoring threat. even against a smaller team like Tampa, he spent half the series on his ass. |

Eller, on the 1st line, would get shut down too, because he's playing with Pacioretty. Who happens to face a stiffer competition than anyone else on the team.
Come on, you're better than that. |

The team won't make it to the playoffs with Eller has a the number one center. |

Eller would not change much. They really have to hope Galchenyuk can make the move.
Or maybe McCarron in a few years. |

Eller had the same points total last season in the playoffs as Desharnais.
He also had only 1 point against Tampa, like Desharnais.

Eller is far more suited to handle physical play than DD. between playing with Pacioretty and getting a few mins of PP time per game, i'm confident saying that Eller would outproduce Desharnais' 0.35/ppg pace in the playoffs. i told you i'm not a huge Eller fan and i don't think he'd score at a high level. i just think he'd outscore DD.

you're missing my point though Marty... it's not about Eller. it's about DD being miscast as a #1 center in the regular season and being woefully outmatched as a #1 center in the playoffs when you don't get to play the Hurricanes and Panthers. |
