It's frustrating for sure. If they can move some of these contracts that are set to expire over the next couple of years for picks/prospects then I think the future will look better. They have some nice prospects/youth up front but are sorely lacking on the back end.

If they want to retire Canucks i'm sure they'll be afforded that luxury. They've earned it. It's pretty hard to trade them except for near the deadline of the year their contracts expire.

Yeah, it doesn't look like they'll win as Canucks. If they do, it will be as complementary players on their next contract. Even that seems quite far-fetched.

I could have sworn being at those 3 first round games in 2012 against the Canucks that Richards was a difference maker. I guess his 15 points in 20 games were pretty meaningless as well.
