Ok....but im sure they didnt want him gone so bad just because he was intelliegence points below some other players. Think I saw news report hed been charged with drunken boating.
The fact hes gone does support the reports
Ill be clear, I dont blindly believe much. This 1 I do believe based on outcome and things said by management - SMBDragon
Bfyuglin (sp?) was the drunken boater, which doesn't prove anything anyways. I just spent a weekend drunken boating with some friends and none of us have drug problems.
And the fact that he's gone proves only a that management did not want him to be a part of the organization, nothing more. |

Do we know it's a drug problem? He could just be an alcoholic like Cam Barker was. - Nucker101
I waited a couple of years before I even acknowledged this rumor on here even though I heard from a couple of close sources and as far back as a couple of months after he was traded here. It sounded like a problem going back to the AHL when he was with the Sabres.
I don't know if Coke was the reason behind his removal..no. I do know that he was not careful with who he did rails with at the Roxy. I do know that he had a coke reputation right from the start(people in the building calling him Kocain Kassian). I have a friend who works with the Canucks. Also, my uncle rubbed shoulders with several of the Canucks suits and it was discussed. The Canucks at the very least knew he was being careless with strangers when he was drunk. You want to impress chicks and shove that poop in your nose,,, go back to your condo... not in the washroom at the Roxy.

If it's necessary then yes. Benning basically just gave away a first and a fifth round pick for a good defensive fourth liner. As I said, benning had influence in the seguin trade which also occurred due to off ice issues. - mncanucks
At some point you have to stop valuing a player based on when they were drafted and start to look at the player himself. |

Clearly that is proof management has soured on him.

If they were going to take Bennett or Ekblad I would have loved that deal. I'd still do it for Reinhart. |

You can't compare lazy poopty D to someone who makes those kinds of decisions off ice.
I'd say one is overpaid and over rated and the other is a problem child.

He'll fit right in with the core of the team. They can tell old war stories on the plane. - CubanBuffet
But really good for the old guy. most people cant walk at that age, let alone play hockey |

I was against The kassian for Prust trade at first. Made no sense but you kind of have to think was the trade made from a pure stat transaction? Most likely not otherwise benning is a bigger idiot then we could even imagine. Simply this team had a compete problem on a day to day basis. Kassian was a big part of that, Prust on the other hand is known for his showing up nightly. If it was kassians first team showing he wasn't going to do it, the return would be better but he's the next Alexander semin without ever being good. |

No vancity nobody else is watching the golf - vancity787
I was watching the golf, but didn't stop by here until now - much later.
Great storyline. David Hearn has his work cut out for him if he wants to be a Canadian winner at the Canadian Open, with Jason Day and Bubba on his heels...

Jason Day, while he is a fantastic golfer doesnt seem to know how to get it done in crunch time.
Bubba is a douche, I cant stand the guy.
Hearn is going to have a large portion of the country on his back tomorrow. And quite frankly I dont think he'll get it done. But even from my shop tomorrow I'll have the TV on and paying close attention.
Rarely do I hope for a slow day. But tomorrow will be one of them. |

Lol negative, I enjoy golf.
I was talking to my friend yesterday. He had just finished a day there. Of course he had a VIP pass. Actually talked to Jason Day and said he didn't know who he was until his boss told him after. They were in a food line or something and he asked Jason if he knew what was good. |

I'm still a bit buzzy over liveblogging the British Open last weekend. Golf has been pretty thrilling so far this summer.
After Jason Day's vertigo incident at the U.S. Open, I'd be rooting for him if the field was different. But the David Hearn story is awesome—and comes out of nowhere. I hope he has a great day tomorrow.
As for Bubba, I don't like his visor. Visors are not chick magnets.

Saw a roster thing somewhere where it listed jensen as signing in europe. Canucks would otherwise hold rights though so thats probably why hes listed.
Wish I could recall where I saw it. Listed players coming in and going out and where they are now or came from - SMBDragon

Hearn is a good story, but he'll lose the lead after about the first hole, and Bubba is a loser, period. |
