I was against The kassian for Prust trade at first. Made no sense but you kind of have to think was the trade made from a pure stat transaction? Most likely not otherwise benning is a bigger idiot then we could even imagine. Simply this team had a compete problem on a day to day basis. Kassian was a big part of that, Prust on the other hand is known for his showing up nightly. If it was kassians first team showing he wasn't going to do it, the return would be better but he's the next Alexander semin without ever being good.

That trade is done. Just looking forward to seeing how Dorsett and Prust are utilized.

I wanted Kassian to succeed and still do, so good for him to get a fresh start with another team. If Prust is as advertised, he might find a home here. (not at that cap hit though )

Feck it, it's summer, a long way from playing a game. we are unbeaten!

I don't get it, are you saying the Canucks should have signed Sbisa to a 6 year contract to get better value?

The happiest player to see Prust is Hamhuis. If Dorsett gets outmatched like he did against Engelland then the refs can ask Prust to get Engelland off before our player gets killed.

I would have preferred a D man like Engelland Despres or Dillon .

Just ask the Ducks Murray for a trade - he got him real cheap so it won't cost you much!!

Edler + Shinkaruk + #6 for #1 overall(Reinhart) is what I remember hearing(I believe it was a CDC poster that goes by the name of Hockey Widow).

Skink had to work on his defensive game. Travis Green was very hard on him because he came in as a 1st round rock star, made nice snipes and sucked on the back check. So he got nailed to the bench - a lot.

I like the kid because he fought through that, learned to play how Green told him - ie. totally changed his game - and it started to pay off. He is always going to be a bit small but he is strong, and now he plays a 200ft game and can still snipe. In 3 years he is putting 20+ in the net in the NHL. He is one driven kid, and well prepared for success. It would be a mistake to trade him now.

I think he was in a few trade rumours because he was a first rounder that, at the time, was projected to go much higher in the draft by a few teams, and it was recognised by the Canucks that his development was going to be a while so they fished around.

Do we know it's a drug problem? He could just be an alcoholic like Cam Barker was.
- Nucker101

Wasn't cam barker 3rd overall sandwiched between ovi, malkin, and ladd?

Talk about a poor pick by Chicago.

no hate. Baert had the exact same problems as Shink it sounds like.

needs to get a 2 way game going. Part of why he got bypassed by other players, along with too many LW in the system. Just means that if he gets put on a line thats expecting him to play less of an offensive role he might be frustrating to watch.

But overall, he'll be good. As long as they don't try to make him what he's not.

Sven only one left to sign.

Canucks let Andersson Conacher McMillan and Archbald walk. No big deal

I wonder how the Comets are going to look this year? McCann Stewart Cedarholm in .

Baertschi Markstrom Clen Frankie C out.

I am sure there are still moves to be made.

I didn't put Cassels on that list because beating out Vey at 4 th line centre is very obtainable.

Eddie Lack was doing goalie moves for NHL 16 in Canuck pads. I wonder if he wear them during the regular season too?

I'm not an idiot, plus if I don't watch any Canuck games between now and mid Sept. I'm really sending a message to Aquilini, telling him who the boss is.

And it's not Tony Danza!!
