I'm not an idiot, plus if I don't watch any Canuck games between now and mid Sept. I'm really sending a message to Aquilini, telling him who the boss is.

And it's not Tony Danza!!

Sven only one left to sign.

Canucks let Andersson Conacher McMillan and Archbald walk. No big deal

- VANTEL

No biggie, they all look like career AHL/Euro players.

I wonder how the Comets are going to look this year? McCann Stewart Cedarholm in .

Baertschi Markstrom Clen Frankie C out.

I am sure there are still moves to be made.

I didn't put Cassels on that list because beating out Vey at 4 th line centre is very obtainable.

- VANTEL

McCann is too young to play for the Comets, he just turned 19 this spring...OHL or NHL for him.

OHL is pretty much a lock for him, he's still not strong enough imo. Linden Vey might even kick his ass.

I'm pretty sure that McCann and Virtanen are still too young to play in the AHL.

My guess would be that the Comets will be less competitive this year as they are transitioning in a bunch of new "Canucks" prospects to replace AHL Vets who are moving on.

I don't know, Vey is a little little guy...needs to take his strength and fitness level a bit more serious if he wants to make it. McCann already looks much bigger, but I do agree, he's needs more man-strength. We'll see how they do this summer with their workouts.

I think the Canucks were lucky he fell to them...going out on a limb here and predicting this kid has a good NHL career. Seems very driven!!

Weber, Sbisa and Clendening are not AHL players. They are definitely not the greatest defenseman of all time, but they can all crack an NHL lineup as bottom pair players. Sbisa has played over 300 games in the NHL with the Ducks and Canucks, who don't exactly have miserable D cores. Weber has over 200 NHL games, and has developed into a guy who the Canucks trust to man the point on the PP. Clendening is the most inexperienced out of the three with only 21 NHL games. However, he did fill in for the Canucks at a very tough point in the season this last season. He is an interchangeable guy who will likely see NHL and AHL time this year. However, to blatantly call him an AHL D-man after what he did last season, is flat out ridiculous. I agree that he needs time to develop a bit more, but he will evolve into an NHL defense-man, and I hope that the Canucks give him a shot at the 6 spot. If they make him the #7 guy who can fill in for an injured player, I will be happy with that decision as well.

Nice to see Canadian teams having success. And success against the United States. The population disparity/pool of players... I'm happy they were able to get it done.

Our d-corps is a work in progress. The closest thing we have to a number 1 is Edler, and he is always a hit away from screwing up his back and going on ir. Tanev is a good complimentary player but not a catalyst.

Hamhuis might not be along much longer, nearing the end of his contract.

After Edler, Tanev, and Hamhuis, we have Sbisa, who after 300 games is still trying to figure out his role/game.

Then we have Weber, who is a pp specialist, a bit on the small side and challenged in his own end. Corrado and Clendening have yet to get any type of regular playing time in the NHL, have mostly seen limited playing time as call ups to fill in for injured players.

Bartkowski is an unknown in how he will be deployed and play within the system.

TBH, I hope we see Biega get another chance with the big club. I liked his play when he was first called up last season and he brought a physical element with his play.

I am a fan, I hope our d is improved with players like Corrado, Weber, Clendening being a year older and growing into bigger roles with the club. but it is wait and see.

Yeah, these boards

Remember when Rypien had to take time off from the team and he was labeled a pill fiend, coke head and alcoholic?
