Not sure if anyone noticed the TV schedule for NBC came out. We have 5 games this year, down from the 11 we had last year.
Edmonton has 1. And it's against us on March 1st.
Good to see the NHL did a good job of marketing McDavid this year. - HonkFortheGoose
I bet they did a better job getting the Oilers on CBC. |

I'm fine with it. I don't like when we're on it. If there's a different team being shown on NBC sports, that gives me more options of things to watch.
I hate the Flyers, but I like watching their games. Mostly so I can root against them. |

I don't know that they've announced those games yet. And I believe it's sportsnet that would have most of them. |

Sabres schedule on their website has SN listed once or twice (accuracy not my point), so I would guess it might be out for Edmonton as well
Edit: looks like 31 of their games are on some sort of "special" network |

This is correct. And it appears they are broadcasting ALL the Oilers games.
" Coverage of all games featuring the Canadiens, Canucks, Flames and Oilers."

Here's the thing though, this kid is supposed to be the next "Crosby." Shouldn't the NHL be trying to market him in more than just Canada? Isn't it the US they're trying to grow the fan base in? |

Check out Edmonton's site.
Promoting Canadian teams along the sides of the page...plus Crosby.
Hmmm, it's not on every page, but shows here:

The problem is that he plays in the most obscure Canadian city (I guess you could argue Winnipeg) there is. That's a monumental task as far as the US is concerned. |

Is that Pacific or Mt time? Either way its way to late for 90% of East coasters to watch a game. I will watch whatever late games are on as that's what I tend to falls asleep to the best..... well pre kid that is |

I think they could have done a little bit more had he gone to LA, Anaheim, or even Colorado or dare I say it, Arizona. |

Also, Buffalo Sabres, nice to hear the pooch pulled through. My wife and i had to put our very first cat that we adopted down last summer due to cancer. It was tough because she was otherwise totally healthy. So again, glad to hear the good news?! |

He still plays on the east coast at least 16 times. Not to mention the teams that play in the central time zone like Dallas, Chicago and Nashville. |

I for one was never totally sold on Ted Black. I think he was a hard headed guy with a soft approach(which is rare). I just saw on Twitter that the Sabres scrimmage stream drew 38,000 viewers. And the only reason they did one is they got slammed with requests to do it via phone, email and otherwise. I think that lack of foresight may have doomed Black. |

It doesn't matter to me who the president is- Black, Brandon, tooth fairy, Santa Claus, Rick Grimes or Winnie the Pooh. I just care that the on-ice product keeps moving forward. |

Take pride in that.
I had a strange run where I met both Reggie Witherspoon and Jack Quinn and UB fired them days after it happened. |

Woohoo! Coming to Buffalo, finally!!!
Looking at the Leafs @ Sabres, 21st October home game, so I have a couple of questions.
Bought off Stubhub before so not worried about that, but am I better off going for 105 or 106 seats, 105 is behind the players bench, does that impede your view at all ?
This is going to be a once in lifetime type situation, so if you were doing it would it be 105 or 106 seats ? - MikeyOz
It depends on how close to the ice you are. If you're in the first few rows it definitely impedes your view.
200 level are obviously the best seats in the house, and that's why they're so expensive.
I've seen a few games from halfway up in the 100's -various sections/seats- And I strongly recommend these seats, so if you want to go halfway up, say row 7ish you can't really go wrong. |

I want my favorite jerseys back then ..
suck it haters lol
- gerbe75pts
Turn those blue and gold and put the original logo on the shoulders instead of the B then I wouldn't be upset.
But we really just need to use our winter classic jersey and make a blue version and we have a top 10 uniform in sports.
I HATE the current set. |
